What Else?

Directing Hamlet

For her Senior Capstone Honors Project at The Hartt School, Claire produced, cast, and directed her unique production of Hamlet. Using her own independently cut script, she set Hamlet in the Rock n' Roll scene of the early 90's. Complete with movement pieces to Guns N' Roses and a grungy costume design, Claire aimed to bring a fresh take on this infamous play that empowered a younger audience while also staying fiercely loyal to the 1623 Folio text.

Claire's main goal with this production was allow young people to see themselves in the words and characters of Shakespeare's most popular play. Shakespeare can be whatever you want it to be, and she hoped that this show could be whatever the audience wanted it to be for them.

A Christmas Carol
at Hartford Stage

Claire had the joy of playing the Female Swing/Flash App in Michael Wilson's A Christmas Carol at Hartford Stage this last Winter. She covered 5 separate tracks that included dancing, singing, and scene work in this annual and beloved production. She was able to swing on several times (sometimes even mid-show!) and performed her Ghostly Apparition role for a total of 44 performances.
